Step 5: The Reveal and Ordering Appointment
Within a week of your session we get together one more time but this time we get to “ooh” and “ahh” over your portraits!
Bring whoever is the decision makers with you to this appointment. If you’re going to want your spouses or mom’s opinion on which images are the best it’s so much better to have them sit right along with you during this decision process.
This viewing/ordering appointment is when we look at all the best of the best from your session and you tell me which ones YOU love!
That’s right - I don’t narrow down the choices for you . . . your session, you get to choose which ones you want.
I used to show families 25 to 30 images of what I thought were the best so that it was easier for you to decide. What I learned by showing you more options was that your choices weren’t always the same as mine. You know your family better than anyone and the “real” smiles aren’t necessarily the ones I would’ve chosen for you.
First, the reveal.
You’ll watch a slideshow of the best images and even get to see a mock-up of what your framed portraits would look like in your home.
At your ordering appointment, we look at the photography from beginning to end and based on your love for each image, I narrow them for you. We’ve already talked about albums, wall art, and portfolio boxes so by choosing your images this way, I can recommend photography products that you might want in your home with these favorites.
A custom session from beginning to end.
If you have a question or have an idea for your family portraits, I’d love to hear it. Send me an email.
Annual school portraits are a tradition that really highlight your child’s growth year after year. But instead of letting them gather dust in a drawer, why not display them in an intentional and meaningful way?
