STEP 3: A Prep Checklist for The Morning of Your Session
looking your best has everything to with with feeling your best!
Here’s a few of the most important things to do before your photography session.
The Day Before Your Session
Be sure to get a good night’s rest the night before we meet. Aside from avoiding dark circles, a good night’s sleep is more likely to give you the energy and mood that will make for a great session.
CHECKLIST
On the morning of your photo shoot make sure you’re drinking water and staying hydrated.
Make sure to get some food in again to keep yourself energized and feeling good. Skipping meals is easy to do on a busy day so please be sure to make time to eat and care for yourself.
Come to the studio with a fresh clean, moisturized face. You don’t need any makeup. The MUA’s will check in with you again before starting your makeup application.
You’re welcome to come to the studio and change into your outfit after your makeup is complete.
After your make up is done, your family will come and join you for your photos!
You’ll totally notice that this checklist is mostly made up of self-care tasks. Oftentimes when we get busy or rushed we put ourselves and our needs last. For something like a photography session looking your best has everything to with with feeling your best - and that includes being hydrated and fed!
If you have a question or have an idea for your family portraits, I’d love to hear it. Send me an email.
Annual school portraits are a tradition that really highlight your child’s growth year after year. But instead of letting them gather dust in a drawer, why not display them in an intentional and meaningful way?
